Video Scoping Review

The field of trans health research has been growing quickly, but little research has focused on trans men and transmasculine people globally. We reviewed data published on trans men’s health in low-income or middle-income countries (LMIC) and found 53 peer-reviewed or grey literature studies from 19 countries.


Report Community Consultation Report

Little research has been done on transmasculine health in India. To fill this gap, a group of trans activists and researchers (both trans and cisgender) from India, Canada, and the Unites States began to work together in 2017 to develop community-based research on transmasculine health in India. As a first step, we applied for a small research planning grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, which we used to hold consultations with trans men and transmasculine people in three cities.

Community Report “The most important thing is that my parents have accepted me, it does not matter what society says”: Our Health Matters Report on Family Experiences

This report focuses on experiences of family support and rejection among trans men and transmasculine people who participated in interviews as part of Our Health Matters. The findings in this report support previous research indicating that family support and acceptance are critical for trans and non-binary people’s well-being at every stage of life.


Community Report “It felt great when I saw myself”: Our Health Matters Report on Gender-Affirming Health Care for Transmasculine People

This report focuses on gender-affirming health care among trans men and transmasculine people who participated in interviews as part of Our Health Matters. The findings in this report outline the processes in accessing gender-affirming health care, from finding information on providers to achieving their transition goals.
